  • Don’t forget to sign your kids up for the Lowes Build and Grow project this weekend.  This week’s project is a waving flag.  It starts at 10AM on Saturday June 25th. The kits are free and they get an apron and goggles to bring back each time.  When they finish a project they get a patch to iron on their aprons.   Sounds like a good place to send the husband and kids while I check out the city wide Summerset rummage sales.

  • My 6 year old tells me its almost time for another Build and Grow at Lowe’s.   Ever since he got a calendar, he hasn’t let me forget one.  The next one will be on Saturday 6/11 at 10AM.  The kids will be building a Goofy Golf project.  This is a FREE event.

  • There is another Lowes Build and Grow workshop on Saturday April 23rd at 10AM.  If it ends up being too yucky out for the Easter Egg hunts, this might be a good backup plan.  This week the kids are building birdhouses that you can stick on your window.  As always this event is completely FREE.

Don’t forget about their Earth Week promotion on Saturday.  You may want to come early to get a FREE tree.  Like most freebies they will probably disappear fast.  They open at 7AM.

  • This Saturday 4/9 at 10AM bring your kids in to Lowe’s to build a FREE pinball game.  I know that it sounds too good to be true or that there has to be some sort of catch.  Well of course they hope the parents will spend money while they are there but it is truely a FREE event that the kids really enjoy. Not only do they have fun building these projects, they can’t wait to go home and play with them. You can sign up online if you want.  There have been times I’ve tried signing up online and it said they were full but I went anyhow and they have never turned us away.  Most of the projects take about 15 minutes or less to build.

    Doesn’t it look like fun?
